Elaine Groves, a career change florist with the somewhat romantic idea of growing seasonal cut flowers on a half acre plot for wedding flowers. I’m not a traditional florist, I just adore flowers and love to design soft and natural florals. While studying my Level 3 Floristry Qualification, I realised my own style of arranging is much more relaxed, informal and ‘wild’ than traditional floristry techniques. Growing allows me to incorporate more unusual flowers for a true country garden or wildflower look bursting with scent.
As much as possible, I incorporate flowers, herbs and foliage from my own cutting garden – I like to think ‘artisan florist’!! I source flowers from other local flower farmers – grown here, not flown here, keeping air miles down and quality high. I will also source premium grade wedding flowers from my local flower market.
Based in Loughbrickland, just outside Banbridge, Northern Ireland, I work from a home studio and grow my cut flowers on a small plot a few miles away where I grew up. If you’re planning a wedding or any special event (or just want to say hello) then please get in touch, I’d love to hear about your plans and ideas.
I don’t have a dedicated business phone line as I work from a home studio whilst juggling family life with my crazy boys!
Please direct all enquiries by Facebook message or via email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks Elaine x
