With glam, glittery Art Deco inspired bridesmaid dresses and a charcoal colour theme we knew it had to be wintery pastels for Linzi & Jonathan’s special day at The Manor House Country Hotel on the 7th January 2017. A fresh combination of Faith, Mentha, Vendella and Ocean Song roses for the bride with Pink Avalanche, Faith, Mentha and Ocean Song for the bridesmaids…a treat with the silvery seneccio foliage, silver brunia berries and frosty astrantia with wax flower and a little baby’s breath. Happy First Anniversary to you both and thank you for sharing these beautiful photos captured by Lauren Rutherford Photography. It was a pleasure to be involved and thank you for choosing Ditsy Floral Design as your wedding florist xx
Hayley & Luke were married on the 10 May 2017 with a beautiful church service in Dromore Baptist Chruch and celebrated with a barn reception in the tranquil surrounds of Larchfield Estate.
Hayley’s indulgent country style bouquet contained the gorgeous Lady Bombastic garden spray rose, pink avalanche roses, deep cerise scented stocks, pink snapdragon, veronica and lisianthus…and smelt divine! She wore a stunning embellished Pronovias dress from La Boda Bridal Banbridge with bridal hair by Lil’ Miss Colour, Banbridge.
In Larchfield we dressed the guest tables with rustic wooden slabs and country style vintage pitcher jugs of flowers while the Top Table was adorned with a decadent floral runner. Soo much prettiness and a huge thank you to Hayley & Luke for sharing these beautiful memories. It was a pleasure to be part of your special day. Professional photos taken by Gather and Tides.
So much love, happiness and kindness remembered from Rachel & Peter’s special day on the 9th September 2016 in Richhill Presbyterian Church and the fabulous Slieve Russell Hotel. Rachel came to me via recommendation from her cousin Laura whose wedding flowers I’d created the year before and we had so much fun planning the shades of pink and blue flowers to contrast and tone with her platinum blue bridesmaid dresses. The bouquets feature seasonal blue hydrangea, sweet avalanche roses, lydia spray roses and lisianthus and baby’s breath. The boys wore natural style buttonholes with blue thistle, pink astilbe and baby’s breath. Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Lundy and thank you for choosing Ditsy Floral Design as your wedding florist!

This is one of my Epic Weddings of 2016 and as Heather & Gary celebrated their first anniversary over the weekend it’s timely to share these beautiful images captured by Kirsty-Lyn Jameson Photography.
The venue florals featured on-trend greenery with an unique Floating Arch Installation at the front of the ceremony room with wild and whimsical trailing foliages (yes, it was me up a ladder an hour before the guests arrived). While the long tables in the barn were dressed with flowing greenery garlands created by Ditsy Floral and twinkly mercury glass tea lights and linens supplied by Grace & Saviour. It was all so pretty and perfect for the rustic surrounds of the barn.
The girls wore decadent silver bronze sequin gowns and the bouquets were large, loose and lush in strong shades of lavender, coral pink, burgundy with lots of foliage texture. And as for the bride, well she was stunning in a vintage style slim fitting embellished fish tail dress and quirky birdcage head piece, her bouquet was a fresh free-form design with trailing foliages and gorgeous garden dahlias. Thank you and Happy Anniversary Heather & Gary xx.

I am so excited to share these stunning documentary style images by Dylan McBurney Photography that capture some of the special moments of Fiona & Mark’s real wedding Sat 4th Feb 2017. Fiona wanted to mix dramatic peacock feathers with wildflowers and spring tulips for something a little different to the norm…a fantastic creative brief for Ditsy Floral Design. Fiona wore a beautiful dress from Petticoat Lane Bridal and the bridesmaids in teal wore stunning hand crafted headpieces and capes by Lorsha Design. The girls all looked stunning with makeup by Stacey at S.A.K Designs. The reception was held in the Ballymacscanlon House Hotel, Dundalk. Enjoy x
Throw back to my first wedding of the year when Heidi married Edward and it’s a corker! When the brief is ‘wild romantic’ and the bride marries the groom under a whimsical foliage arch it was always going to be one I wanted to receive the professional photos from and they do not disappoint! Thank you to the very talented Paul of Signature Photography.
Heidi and her bridesmaid carried wild free-form bouquets, let me emphasize ‘wild’! They were filled with shades of cerise pink roses and a fabulous king protea, daisies and seed heads with lots of fern and natural foliage for a greenery look which is so on trend right now!
Heidi & Edward thank you for sharing your special memories, I absolutely loved being part of your special day and wish you lots of love and happiness xx

Nicola & Christopher celebrated their wedding last August in St Patrick’s Hilltown followed by a reception in the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan. The flowers were shades of pastel pink, blush and blue to contrast and tone with the soft blue bridesmaid dresses. Nicola just fell in love with the stunning Café au Lait dahlia when she came for her consultation and with dahlias in season late summer and early autumn it was the perfect choice for an August wedding. Nicola’s dress featured a stunning beaded bodice giving a hint of glamour and decadence. The boys wore blue nigella with a blush spray rose! It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in this gorgeous wedding and these beautiful memories were captured by Catherine McAviney Photography. Thank you for choosing Ditsy Floral Design – Wedding Florist x
Rebecca and Daniel were married on a lovely September day last year in Annaclone Presbyterian Church and the celebrations continued by the sea at Ballygally Castle Hotel. The bridesmaids wore a deep lavender 50s style dress with full tulle skirt from Perfect Day and we chose gorgeous shades of lilac, lavender and pink with pretty snowberries for the flowers. Bouquets of sweet dolomiti and memory lane roses, lisianthus, scabious, waxflower, phlox, limonium, astrantia, snowberries and eucalyptus in a ‘just picked’ garden style for the girls. The boys wore rustic buttonholes of snowberries with lisianthus buds, astrantia, wax flower and foliage…who says the boys have to wear flowers?! TC Photography NI are responsible for the gorgeous memories of this special day, thanks so much for sharing guys.
Rich red tones with winter wildflower styling, blue thistles and calla lilies. Laura & Mark are celebrating their first anniversary today and I thought it was the perfect excuse to share some beautiful memories from their winter wedding.
They were married in Edenderry Presbyterian Church, Portadown followed by an intimate reception in the Tullylagan House Hotel. Laura loves calla lilies and wanted to incorporate them with a loose and natural wildflower style posy with blue thistles and berries.
These beautiful images were taken by Caroline Smyth Photography. Happy anniversary guys xx
Fiona & Keith are celebrating their ONE year anniversary today and I thought it was the perfect excuse to share some beautiful memories from their autumn wedding.
They were married in Saint Therese Church Banbridge and continued the celebrations in elegant surrounds of The Manor House Hotel. The bridesmaids wore a deep Bordeaux Red colour and the bride accessorised her lace embellished dress with a grey belt, grey shoes and a cosy grey fur stole. So I wanted to bring the deep red and grey colours into the bride’s bouquet with contrasting lilac and soft blush colours and the result was one of my absolute favourites from 2015 which makes me so excited to share these gorgeous images taken by Wild Daisy Art Photography.
The bride’s bouquet contained black backer, memory lane and upper secret roses with silvery succulents, silver brunia berries, peach hypericum, astilbe, wax flower, baby’s breath and eucalyptus. The bridesmaid posies were fluffy clouds of baby’s breath mixed with wax flower for a wintery touch!
The new Mr & Mrs McVitty had a biscuit themed table plan which I just loved and had to mention as it makes me smile to think of it. I would definitely have wanted to be on the custard cream table!!
Happy anniversary guys xx
